Minority recruitment in basic and clinical research

Recognizing the need for increased minority representation in medical research, the Training Programs have adopted the following general goals:
  1. Identify talented and interested minority students at all grade levels from high school through fellowship who may wish to become career biomedical scientists.
  2. Encourage and facilitate the development of these candidates through the collaboration and support provided by the medical research enterprise at Duke University including our training programs.
  3. Assist in the placement of those individuals at each level into more advanced positions leading to the final goal of a fully independent research investigator.
